Stationed to destroy

“So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said, “Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars.”  Judges 16:25 NKJV

Imagine the scene, Samson who was previously the sight of strength in the nation of Israel was now a blind prisoner performing for the enemy, all because he got into bed with the wrong woman! In sharing his secret, he was shaved of his strength. A man who had judged Israel for 20 years had now taken a double blow by losing both eyes. A total loss of natural vision. Yet although the enemy had Samson positioned for a performance, God in His divine providence had strategically stationed Samson for a shaking of the things which could be shaken.

In this year of 2020, often spoken of as the year of perfect vision, in the natural, it seems like the enemy has the upper hand. With the current state of affairs throughout our nation and the nations of the world, it seems like strength is being zapped from the people of God and the structures of our society are being carved up for idol worship. The enemy seems merry at the moment speaking words which are deceiving some people and at times using the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ like little puppets whom he can imprison and call upon whenever he likes for his entertainment.

But we must remember that even though the enemy may have taken Samson’s strength and sight, he had not taken everything from him. Samson still had his hands to feel, he still had a mouth to call on the Lord, and even his hair was still growing! Knowing his station, Samson sensed and sought and suddenly received strength to destroy. In these days we also must call on the Lord, receive His strength to bring down those pillars and destroy the enemy!

We worship a God who sits as King forever in the heavens and laughs at the enemy. God has His people positioned throughout the island of Ireland, some known, the majority not known, but they are stationed for such a time as this to tear down the unrighteous pillars of this land, to restore true worship. The enemy will soon be eating his own words because the VICTORY IS OURS IN CHRIST JESUS!! We have conquered Satan by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony, for we loved not our lives even onto death” (Revelation 12:11 ESV). Samson killed more at the time of his death than he did throughout his life. He loved not his life even onto death and we must have the same attitude if we are to overcome!

Dear Lord, thank You for where You have placed us in this season. Give us strength in these days to pull down the unrighteous pillars that have been erected in our hearts and throughout this island. O God we come to You in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and we declare that the enemy has been defeated through the precious blood of the Lamb. We bless You Lord and declare that You are God in Ireland in Jesus’ name. Amen.
