Having Greater Impact

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! – 2 Corinthians 5:17

When we know that our identity has been shaped by Jesus and that our identity is empowered by the Holy Spirit then the impact that we have can be so much greater than if we are struggling with a lack of identity and low self-worth.

  • Your impact will be greater when you know who you are.

Living and leading from a place of reassurance of who you are gives you confidence as you can live and lead knowing that you were created by God for a purpose. You are not an accident. You are here by divine design.

  • Your impact will be greater when you know whose you are.

Having a revelation that you are a son or daughter of God changes how we approach life. It enables us to live life through the lens of our Father, rather than through our own eyes. When we know we are a child of God that will change how we approach life and it will cause our impact in life to be so much greater.

  • Your impact will be greater when you know who God says you are.

A family friend from the 1980s used to sing an old chorus that said:

“If I AM says I am, then I am who I AM says I am.

If I AM says I can do, then I can do what I AM says I can do.”

When we live from a place of knowing who the great I AM (God) says we are then we can approach life and leadership with a God-confidence that will enable us to have significant impact on the lives of the people.

  • Your impact will be greater when you know you are secure in Him.

Insecurity hinders many people from becoming who God has called them to be. The enemy attacks our security as he knows that when we are insecure, we will not have the impact we were designed to have. However, when we are secure in who God has called us to be, knowing that He will never leave us or forsake us then there is no limit to the impact God can cause us to have in this life.

Father, today we thank You that our identity is in You. We thank You that we are no longer who we once were but we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, we have been transformed through the victory won at Calvary and we are being empowered each day through the work of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
