Do It All

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.     Colossians 3:17 (NIVUK)

At the threshold of a brand-new year let us emphatically embrace the magnitude of the “all”-encompassing statements in the Bible.  Believe for the manifestation of “all” in your life this year.  Do not settle for some when God says all.  For example:

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life…     Psalm 23:6 (NIVUK)

That means, every day of this year and beyond, with no exceptions.  There will never be a day in which the abundant goodness and mercy of the Lord are not present and in pursuit.

Cast all you anxiety on him because he cares for you…     1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

…and give Him your burdens and worries.  Now is the time to jettison the load for the amazing journey ahead.  Remember:

God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work…     2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIVUK)

Marinate in those words: in all things, at all times, having all you need.  Jesus said:

…all things are possible to him who believes.     Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

Nothing is too hard for God.  He did not say some things are possible, but all things are possible to him who believes.  The only limitation is in our believing.  Take the limits off and see the awesomeness of our God; dream big dreams as you take your stand on His exceeding great and precious promises which are all “yes” and “Amen” in Christ.  The invitation awaits your acceptance to…

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.     Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)

Don’t forget to be thankful for all God’s benefits given to us as His children.

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.~
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.     Psalm 103:1-3 (KJV)

Establish His benefits deep within your heart and live in the fullness of what God has provided for you.  Remember that prayer is the great essential and we should be:

…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.     Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)

Just as breathing is crucial to our physical well-being, so is prayer to our spiritual well-being.  Finally:

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.     Colossians 3:17 (NIVUK)

Paul said in another letter to another church:

…whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.     1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

May God get all the glory in our lives today and always.

Lord of the Years, and Eternal Father, as we enter a New Year, may we experience Your empowering Spirit enabling us to do ALL for Your glory. Also, may we be grateful for ALL you have done for us in the past year and we chose to trust in You for ALL you have promised to do for us in this coming year. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
